Drawn Together | June 4 – July 12
As today is International Nurses’ Day and our collective attention and admiration remains firmly fixed on the wonderful work undertaken by health care professionals around the world, Unit London is delighted to announce Drawn Together: not just our first online exhibition, but our first show in which 100% of proceeds will be split between two charities.
Drawn Together, which will run from June 4th – July 12th, brings together works on paper from over one hundred of the world’s leading contemporary artists. The coronavirus outbreak has, in many cases, caused people to slow down and realign themselves with the more basic elements of day to day life; we wanted to tap into this new found sensibility by asking artists to send us their works on paper. We asked for anything from detailed drawings to sketches and doodles, essentially anything that showcases the basic but beautiful skill that likely sparked their artistic journey.
Drawn Together proceeds will be split between the Medicins Sans Frontières Coronavirus Crisis Appeal (MSF) and the Coronavirus response campaign of the internationally renown charity World Vision. MSF is currently providing urgent international medical care and support in more than seventy countries in order to help eliminate coronavirus; while World Vision has operated in one-hundred countries around the world, collaborating with local communities to help support children and those that are most vulnerable.
