In support of the BFAMI 2022 Gala Dinner and Art Auction, Unit London is delighted to donate Comfort Painting by Thrush Holmes.
The British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel (BFAMI) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising funds to support educational programmes run by the Art Museums of Israel. These programmes share the rich artistic culture and history of Israel alongside prominent international contemporary art, with future generations across all strata of society.
The Gala, Live and Silent Auction will take place on November 10th. All benefits from this auction will be donated in support Educational Programmes run by 14 Art Museums in Israel. This year’s Guests of Honour will be the artist couple, Annie Morris and Idris Khan.
Thrush Holmes is a self-taught artist whose work is characterised by gestural brushwork and distilled forms contrasted by vibrant neon lights. He creates diverse compositions, both intimate and tremendous in scale. The scope of his current work is wide, tackling notions of art, myth, introspection, and biography, while manoeuvring a wide range of iconography, visual vocabulary and mediums.
Holmes has exhibited widely throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. He held a recent solo exhibition with Unit London, titled What’s it all for?, in 2022. His work can be found in multiple important collections, including the Elton John Aids Foundation, Cleveland Cavaliers, Grant Gilbert, and United Talent Agency.
