Biography
Cydne Jasmin Coleby was born in Nassau in The Bahamas in 1993. She attended The College of The Bahamas (now University) where she received her associate degree in art in 2012. Afterwards, she went on to work as a freelance graphic designer, specialising in brand design.
She held solo exhibitions including Queen Mudda, Unit London, London, UK (2021) and Family Matters, Galerie Julien Cadet, Paris, France (2020). Recent group exhibitions 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, Unit London, London, UK (2023); NE10: Mercy, The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, Nassau, Bahamas (2022); Cydne Jasmin Coleby & Rico Gatson, Galerie Julien Cadet, Paris, France (2022); Identity Fabric, King Manor Museum, New York, USA (2022) and To Each Her Own, Urban Zen Gallery, New York, USA (2022). In 2022, Coleby completed the Silver Art Projects Residency, New York, USA and the Wassaic Project Winter Residency, New York, USA.
