Seth Armstrong (b. 1983) was born in the Silverlake district of Los Angeles. He began his artistic education in the Bay Area, completing his BFA at the California College of Arts. Before settling in LA he spent time in The Netherlands, which prompted his interest in the Dutch Renaissance. This influence is still evident today in Armstrong’s treatment of light and shadow.

Armstrong has exhibited throughout Europe and the US, with recent solo exhibitions including Overlook with Unit, London, UK (2021) and New Work with Evoke Contemporary, Santa Fe, New Mexico (2020). In 2022, Armstrong showed his work with Nassima Landau in Tel Aviv, Israel, while other group exhibitions include Drawn Together, Unit, London, UK (2020) and 15 Years of Thinkspace, Thinkspace Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2020). In 2023, Armstrong made his debut at SG Art Fair alongside Stephen Wong Chun Hei. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, USA.
