Traversal 04

Traversal is a series of audio visual works generated from stock photos. Each of the videos is an artefact of a generative system that transforms a seed image into morphing visual and sonic landscapes. The algorithm centers around ‘nodes’ that traverse the image in two dimensions, turning pixel data into music. Some of these transformations are direct while others are quite circuitous. While running, this web-based interface accepts minimal user input to modulate its speed and direction of these nodes. The four works are all from the same session, where I record myself using the system.
